Terms of service
By using clairmont-eyewear.com or placing an order you agree to these terms. The site is operated by ASLO TRADING CO., LIMITED, a company incorporated in Hong Kong, registered office 9B, Cheong Tai Commercial Building, 66 Wing Lok Street, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong. Clairmont is a trading brand of ASLO TRADING CO., LIMITED.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 to place an order. Orders for a minor must be placed by a parent or guardian.
2. Prescriptions
You must have a valid, current prescription from a licensed eye care professional. By ordering you confirm that:
- The prescription you supply is yours, is valid and unexpired, and was issued by a licensed professional
- The values you entered are accurate and complete
- You will tell us if anything is unclear rather than guess
We do not perform eye examinations and nothing we provide is a substitute for one. We do not diagnose, treat, or give medical advice. See a licensed eye care professional regularly, and promptly if your vision changes.
We may request a copy of your prescription or verify it with your prescriber before we produce your order. We may decline or cancel any order we cannot verify, or where the prescription falls outside what we can safely produce.
You are responsible for ensuring that ordering prescription eyewear from an overseas supplier is permitted where you live.
3. Accuracy of what you supply
We make your lenses to the values you provide. If those values are wrong, the lenses will be wrong. Errors originating from information you supplied are not covered by our free remake. See the Return and Refund Policy.
4. Products, images and availability
We try to show colours, finishes and dimensions accurately, but screens vary and small variations in handmade acetate are normal, not defects. Availability is not guaranteed and we may discontinue a style at any time.
5. Pricing and payment
Prices are in USD and may change without notice. Prices shown include the lenses described on the product page. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where a price or description was published in error, including after an order was placed, and we will refund you in full if we do.
You are responsible for any import duties, taxes or customs charges in your country.
6. Orders and acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy. A confirmation email acknowledges receipt but does not accept it. Acceptance happens when we begin production or dispatch.
7. Intellectual property
All content on this site, including designs, text, images, and the Clairmont name and marks, belongs to ASLO TRADING CO., LIMITED or its licensors. Our frames are our own designs, drawn from classic silhouettes. They are not copies of, affiliated with, or endorsed by any other eyewear brand or manufacturer. Any third party names appearing on this site are the property of their owners and are used, if at all, only descriptively.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use the site unlawfully, attempt to breach its security, scrape it, or resell our products commercially without written permission.
9. Reviews and submissions
Anything you submit publicly must be your own honest experience. By submitting, you grant us a non exclusive right to use, display and adapt it in connection with the brand. We do not delete reviews for being critical.
10. Warranty and disclaimers
Our products come with the warranties set out in our Return and Refund Policy. Beyond those and any rights the law gives you which cannot be excluded, the site and products are provided "as is" without further warranty.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the courts of Hong Kong have exclusive jurisdiction. This does not affect mandatory consumer protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published when you place your order.
