ASLO TRADING CO., LIMITED, 9B, Cheong Tai Commercial Building, 66 Wing Lok Street, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong, operates clairmont-eyewear.com. We are the data user responsible for your personal data under the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, and the controller where other data protection laws apply to you.
What we collect
You give us: name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number if you provide it, and order history. Payment details go directly to our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
Health related data. To make prescription eyewear we collect your prescription values, your pupillary distance, and your segment height. Where you use our guided measurement tool we process a photo or video of your face for the sole purpose of deriving those measurements. In some jurisdictions this counts as sensitive or health data and receives additional protection.
Automatically: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and referring source, through cookies and similar technologies.
Why we use it
- To make and deliver your order, including sending your prescription to our lens lab
- To handle support, remakes and warranty claims
- To take payment and prevent fraud
- To send marketing, only where you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe from any email
- To meet legal, tax and record keeping obligations
Your measurement images
Images captured for measurement are used only to derive your PD and seg height. We do not use them for advertising, we do not sell them, and we do not use them to train facial recognition. They are deleted once the measurement is derived and the order is complete, at the latest within 1 years. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Who we share it with
Service providers who need it to do their job: our ecommerce platform, our lens laboratory and manufacturing partners, payment processors, shipping carriers, email and analytics tools. They may only use it to provide their service to us. We also disclose where legally required. We do not sell your personal data.
International transfers
We are based in Hong Kong and our manufacturing and fulfilment partners may be located in other countries. Your data, including your prescription, will be transferred and processed outside your country of residence in order to make and ship your order. We take steps to ensure it is handled with appropriate protection wherever it is processed.
How long we keep it
Order and prescription records are kept as long as needed to support your lifetime frame cover and to meet record keeping law, typically 1 years. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, a portable copy, or restriction of processing, and you can object to marketing at any time. Under the Hong Kong PDPO you have the right to request access to and correction of your personal data. Email support@clairmont-eyewear.com and we will respond within the period the law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work, plus analytics and advertising cookies where you consent. You can manage these through your browser or our cookie banner where shown.
Children
Our store is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. Prescription eyewear for a minor must be ordered by a parent or guardian.
Security
We use industry standard measures to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
